The Select Sound Forensic Audio Department offers a variety of highly specialized services. Services offered to our clients include audio enhancement, program evaluation, transcription and original transcript verification, voice message retrieval, location recording services and expert testimony.

Select Sound has been providing these services to satisfied customers for more than 30 years. Our client list includes law enforcement agencies, attorneys, private investigators, corporations as well as private individuals.

OUR SERVICES INCLUDE:

AUDIO ENHANCEMENT

Most audio programs can be computer enhanced to improve intelligibility and reduce background noise.

PROGRAM ANALYSIS

In some cases, it is possible to determine if the audio program has been altered.

TRANSCRIPT VERIFICATION

We provide service for the verification of transcripts done elsewhere.

EXPERT TESTIMONY

A recording engineer is available to provide expert testimony.

VOICE RETRIEVAL

We can record and produce a copy of your voice mail or answering machine messages.

LOCATION AUDIO SERVICES

First generation copies are best to use when the original is unavailable.

We can provide remote recording facilities to properly duplicate the original.

Care is taken to capture the program by bypassing electronic circuits that may affect reproduction.

TAPE REPAIR

Great care is taken to ensure minimal or no program loss when tapes are repaired.

Tape repairs are temporary, so a copy is recommended.

DUPLICATION

Some of the common formats we transfer to compact disc include:

micro cassettes, standard audio cassettes and open reel.
