VOCATIONAL TRAINING PROGRAM - "ALL AUDIO COURSES BUNDLED WITH AN MBOX"
The Vocational Training Program is for the career minded individual that is planning to make audio a profession. This program offers the training needed to begin a career in the recording industry. This consists of Recording Technologies One through Six. The student will receive a Digidesign Mbox with ProTools for home study. Upon completion of each course, the student will receive a CD and a certificate of completion. RECORDING TECHNOLOGIES 1 - "FUNDAMENTAL AUDIO ENGINEERING"
This is a comprehensive study of the history of recording, the recording chain, physics of sound, production techniques, studio acoustics, signal processing equipment, various applications of microphones and direct lines and the operation of the mixing console.  Students participate with the production of a recording session.
       

RECORDING TECHNOLOGIES 2 -
"INTRODUCTION TO PROTOOLS"
This course will teach you what you need to know to complete a Pro Tools project, from initial set up to final mixdown. Studies include an introduction to Pro Tools, creating your first ProTools session, recording, basic editing and mixing.

RECORDING TECHNOLOGIES 3 -
"ADVANCED PROTOOLS"
This course provides a more detailed look at Pro Tools and covers all the key concepts and skills needed to operate a Pro Tools LE system. Students will learn about  external controllers, loop recording, advanced techniques, audio editing and file management techniques, automation enabling, playing, viewing, and editing automation data,  mixing, using sends, returns, plug-ins, master faders, and groups.

RECORDING TECHNOLOGIES 4 -
"MIDI & SEQUENCING FOR THE HOME AND PRO STUDIO"
The basics of MIDI, event editing, and it's role in music creation. Students will learn how to create sequencer and drum patterns without needing any keyboard skills, and be able to use it to enhance audio recordings, complete songs, or just to create demos. The focus will also be on the concepts of analog synthesis, sampling, and loop construction as it applies to creation of much of today's music by using Propellerhead's Reason software. In addition students will work with control surfaces, and learn how they can be used in the home or pro studio and for control of "soft synths".

RECORDING TECHNOLOGIES 5 - "PROTOOLS FOR MULTI-MEDIA
In this course students will learn advanced ProTools techniques, audio for multi-media and  5.1 surround sound production. Students will tour broadcasting facilities and other production studios.

RECORDING TECHNOLOGIES 6 -
“INDEPENDENT STUDY FOR ADVANCED STUDENTS”
This is an independent study program that concentrates on the student's professional goals.  The student receives a block of 30 hours for instruction, pre-production, recording, mixing and mastering.

The Director's Program is for the career minded individual that is planning to make video production or filmmaking a profession or just taking their skill to the next level. This program consists of The Principles of Video Production courses one through six. This is your best value because you receive a camcorder for home study and a discount with guaranteed tuition for the entire length of the program.


THE PRINCIPLES OF VIDEO PRODUCTION TAKE 1 - INTRODUCTION TO VIDEO PRODUCTION
This course will introduce the beginning video-maker to the fundamental techniques of digital video production. The course will cover basic camera operation, story boarding, production design, shot composition, lighting, audio recording, non-linear editing, and DVD authoring.

THE PRINCIPLES OF VIDEO PRODUCTION TAKE 2 - ADVANCED VIDEO PRODUCTION
This course will offer training in advanced video production techniques. Students will be introduced to green-screen, jibs, cranes, camera stabilization & motion systems. Students will tour a television broadcasting studio and guest speakers will include advertising, lighting and make-up specialists.

THE PRINCIPLES OF VIDEO PRODUCTION TAKE 3 - MULTI-CAMERA PRODUCTION
This course will offer training in multi-camera, synchronization techniques and  editing specific to concert  production.

THE PRINCIPLES OF VIDEO PRODUCTION TAKE 4 - DOCUMENTARY FILMMAKING
This course will offer training in documentary production for broadcast. Guest speakers will include experienced documentary filmmakers and graphics specialists.

THE PRINCIPLES OF VIDEO PRODUCTION TAKE 5 - TELEVISION PRODUCTION
This course will offer training in television production and electronic news gathering. Guest speakers will include directors and producers from the broadcast industry.

THE PRINCIPLES OF VIDEO PRODUCTION TAKE 6 - INDEPENDENT STUDY FOR ADVANCED STUDENTS
This is an independent study program that concentrates on the student's professional goals. The student receives a block of 30 studio hours for instruction, preproduction, production, post production & DVD authoring.
